Many thanks to Bill for sending me this picture that he took of our group in the Ampitheater at Ostia Antica. As you probably noticed, my travelogue is very light on people pictures. I've never been comfortable pointing my camera at people and taking their picture. Even though I know that most people don't care, it still feels intrusive to me. And I feel like a bother constantly asking people if I can take their picture so, unfortunately for them, words are my pictures when it comes to people. This is the only photo of the group I have. I kinda like how almost everyone doesn't realize the picture is being taken. It feels more natural to me. Plus, check me out in the middle of the upper row. What the hell is going on there? I have this pensive look on my face as I stare towards the heavens like I'm in my own personal CK commercial. "Ancient Ruins. The new fragrance by Calvin Klein." Try not to be too jealous of me, alright?
